Primary sources first

Legal and regulatory claims are checked against primary official material wherever possible, including legislation, government publications, Security Industry Authority guidance and relevant ProtectUK material.

Hospitality interpretation is clearly separated

Hospli may explain how a requirement could affect the practical operation of pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues. Where we add operational commentary, we do not present that commentary as though it were wording issued by government or the regulator.

We do not manufacture certainty

Where an official source describes a date, process or requirement as expected, proposed, subject to guidance or dependent on the circumstances of a premises, Hospli aims to preserve that qualification.

Hospli does not describe itself as government approved and does not issue legal opinions or certificates of compliance.

Updates and corrections

Guidance should be reviewed when significant legislation, regulator guidance or official implementation information changes. Material changes should be reflected in the affected public pages rather than left only in a separate news post.

If Hospli identifies a material factual error, the aim is to correct the underlying page promptly and update its modified date where appropriate.
